Black widows, or the common black house spider, are timid spiders with bites occurring infrequently. Though their bite may be quite painful and can instigate local swelling. As a result, nausea, vomiting, sweating and giddiness sometimes occur.

St. Andrew’s Cross Spider
Male Orb spiders are often much smaller than their female counterparts. Though, both are reluctant to bite. Symptoms are usually negligible or local pain only with numbness and swelling coupled with occasional nausea and dizziness.
REDBACK SPIDERS

Redback spider bites occur frequently. They can cause serious illness and have caused deaths. Because of their small jaws, many bites are ineffective. Common early symptoms are pain, sweating (especially local sweating at the bite site), muscular weakness, nausea and vomiting. An anti-venom is available and no deaths have occurred since its introduction.
